Sue and Graeme Lewis are the proud owners of this
beautifully restored 1968 Plymouth barracuda fastback coupe
Barracudas are seldomly seen in Australia and it's even rarer
to see one in such magic condition as this one. Panel work and
Madison grey paint are the excellent handy work of Gray's
brother Mick Lewis. Mick also added the duster 360 style black
stipes. Gray's father Harvey restored the instrument cluster
and
converted the dash from left to right hand drive. All mechanicals
are Gray's specailty as he and business partner Des of DES
AND GRAY'S AUTO'S in ferntree gully specialize in all chrysler
vehicles. So you know the 360 Chrysler with 4 barrel carb ,
mild
cam , steel crank and windage tray has plenty of that good old
Mopar muscle. The power is transferred through a 727 torque
flite
auto box into a 2.92 borg warner diff. Wheels are BOYD
COTTINGTON Genesis 16 x 8 rear and 16 x 7 front with 245 x 16
rear and 225 x 16 front Falcon tyres. Trim is EA Falcon tweed
covered by Adam at Boronia Motor Trimmers.
Road Runner supplied and installed a new full tint band windscreen
and while Sue hid away refitted that huge green tint rear screen
( a very hard to replace item in Australia)
The Barracuda has picked up trophies at
Chryslers on the Murray 2002 Best U.S MUSCLE CAR.
Mornington car show 2003 PRESIDENTS CHOICE.
Kustom nationals 2003 Best U.S MUSCLE CAR.
Chryslers on the bay Geelong 2004 top cruiser and top 10.
Chrylers on the Murray 2004 BEST PLYMOUTH.
Sue and Gray enjoy taking the car to as many shows and local
cruise nights as they can get to and Sue can been seen cruising
around town most days in the Cuda.
Sue and Gray would like to thank Grays father Harvey brother
